Canada [Images] has taken a serious note of Non Resident Indians from that country duping Indian women after marrying them in India.
    
Canadian High Commissioner David Malone told mediapersons in Kapurthala that that laws in his country were more stringent to deal with such cases of matrimonial fraud as compared to laws in India.
 
The wives of NRIs should approach the Indian High Commission in Canada for taking action against their husbands for the fraud marriages, Malone added.
    
Malone said he had advised the Punjabi community in Toronto and Vancouver against duping Indian women after marrying them.
    
Referring to Indian students studying in Canada, the high commissioner said there are more than 7,000 Indian students studying in his country and the Canadian government is liberal in granting visas to Indian students.
   
Malone advised the students to get admission in accredited universities or colleges in Canada in case they want to study there adding that 95 percent of the students got study visas in these cases.

Malone said the Canadian High commission rejects visa for study in non-accredited universities and colleges which are generally mooted by travel agents.
