Is this the next First Lady of the United States?

March 4, 2008
In the past, spouses of US presidential candidates haven't been actively involved in election campaigning. But when Michelle Obama accompanies her husband at campaign rallies, she serves as a lot more than arm candy for photo-ops. And although she may have put her professional life on hold to support her husband, she remains unsure of what she would do if she does become the First Lady.

Speaking to The Washington Post, she said, "Barack and I have lived very separate professional lives. He's done his thing, I do my thing. And my focus is on figuring out what's the right thing for me to do given where I am in my life, where my kids are. And I won't know what that looks like in 2008; it changes," she said, adding in jest, "I might be so tired I won't want to talk to anybody after 2008".
