Left urges Karunanidhi to mediate nuke deal impasse

The Left Front on Sunday met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for a discussion about the Indo-US nuclear deal.Communist Party of India-Marxist General Secretary Prakash Karat, and D Raja, leader of the Communist Party of India, sought Karunanidhi's mediation to resolve the issue as he is an important and senior ally in the ruling United Progressive Alliance coalition at the Centre.
