Lok Janashakti Party member of parliament from Balia, Suraj Singh alias Surajbhan Singh on Thursday challenged before the Patna High Court his conviction for a life term in a murder case by a Begusarai fast track court.

A division bench of the court, comprising Justice Shiv Kirti Singh and Justice Abhijit Sinha, admitted Singh's petition for hearing.

The bench also ordered for transfer of the records related to the case from Begusarai court to the Patna high court.
