The Centre on Thursday categorically said that the finger of suspicion behind the Mumbai terror attacks [Images] unmistakably points to Pakistan and that the origin of all the 10 terrorists who entered the country have been established conclusively.

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, addressing the Lok Sabha on the recent audacious terror attack which left over 180 dead, said interrogation of the lone captured terrorist has yielded valuable material evidence.

"I am able to say that the finger of suspicion unmistakably points to the territory of our neighbour Pakistan. The interrogation of the captured terrorist has yielded valuable material evidence," he said.

The minister said abundant evidence gathered from the inflammable rubber dinghy, the fishing vessel and the bodies of the terrorists has enabled the investigators to construct the sequence of the events starting from the origin of the attackers.

He said, "The origins of the 10 terrorists, who entered India, have been established conclusively".
