Kashmir celebrates Dussehra after 20 years

"The Kashmiri Pandits living in the Valley have been totally ignored by the world community and that is why, to show our presence to the world, we decided to restart this function to mark our presence under the banner of KPSS," a statement issued by the Samiti said.
The Dussehra festival was last held in Srinagar in 1987 at Iqbal Park.
