The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday conducted a lie detector test on Papu, who is alleged to have taken Rs 11 lakh from Priyanka's kin, to break her marriage with computer graphics teacher Rizwanur Rehman found dead in mysterious circumstances in September this year.

The polygraphic test of Papu was carried out at the Centre for Forensic and Scientific Laboratory during which he was asked questions pertaining to the alleged exchange of money, official sources said.

The main allegation against Papu, who runs an NGO in Kolkata, was that he had taken Rs 11 lakh from Pradeep Todi, uncle of Priyanka, for ensuring her return. It is also alleged that a part of money was paid to a family member of Rehman.

His lie detector test came a day after Pradeep Todi, brother of Kolkata-based industrialist Ashok Todi, who is the main accused in the case relating to Rizwanur's death, underwent the same test.

The report of his polygraphic test would be ready in a week's time, the sources said, adding a similar test on Ashok Todi could not be carried out due to his ill health and the recent surgery.

Last month, the CBI had registered a case against Ashok Todi and others under section 302 (murder) of Indian Penal Code.
