In a strange and mysterious development the management of the Dera Sacha Sauda has broken its links with Swami Agnivesh and his partners.

Agnivesh had met Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh at Sirsa in order to find out an acceptable solution between Sikh Sangat and Dehra after the head of the sect wore the uniform of Guru Gobind Singh and showed himself distributing amrit to his follower in Salabatpur in Bhatinda district of Punjab which witnessed unprecendented clashed between the followers the sect and the police.

Abhijit Bhagat, a trustee and vice-chairman of the Dera, moved a special leave petition before apex court that was heard by a bench comprising Justice Arijit Pasayat and Justice D K Jain, seeking protection from the court from the Sikhs which have asked them to vacate the Deras by 27th of May. The matter has been listed for hearing on June 4 along with another petition filed on the issue.

"Yesterday they faxed us a draft of the agreement. We made necessary changes and waited for them to issue an apology. We kept on waiting till morning when we learnt that they have moved the Supreme Court asking for protection. Now they are not responding to our calls. We will still make last ditch efforts to sort out the issue. We do not want them to say that no one listened to them," he said.

Bhagat, also an advocate, will give try again on Monday.
