The United National Progressive Alliance delegation, which will call on President A P J Abdul Kalam to persuade him to contest the presidential poll with their backing, are having a meeting at Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh's house at 27 Lodhi Estate in Delhi.

After the meeting, the leaders will proceed to Rashtrapati Bhavan [Images] and meet Kalam by 3.30 pm.

Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader Vaiko, two representatives of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam among others are participating in the meeting at Amar Singh's house.
