Prabin Gautam, the son of kidnapped FCI official Phul Chand Ram, identified on Thursday the body of his father who was killed in crossfire between police and the ULFA.
Prabin, who flew in from New Delhi on Thursday afternoon, told reporters at the Guwahati Neurological Research Centre, where the body was kept, that it was that of his father.
"Yes the body is of my father," he said, before leaving the facility.
The identification was done in the presence of a government magistrate.
Pravin was accompanied to GNRC by Balak Ram, his father's brother, and senior FCI officials.
