The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a petition filed by two private schools managements challenging the ban imposed by the Delhi high court on interviews of nursery kids and their parents at the time of admissions.

A Bench comprising the Chief Justice-designate K G Balakrishnan and Justice D K Jain, however, granted liberty to the petitioners to approach the high court afresh for raising their objections vis-a-vis the Ganguly committee recommendations.

It might be mentioned that the high court-appointed Ganguly committee had come out with a slew of suggestions to dispense with the practice of interviewing kids and their parents by school managements.
