Two persons, including a suspected ISI agent, who were allegedly passing on sensitive Army information to Pakistan have been arrested in Kutch, a senior police official said in Ahmedabad.

One of the persons was identified as Javed Halderwa alias Adil Anjum, a suspected ISI agent, who had been living in Kutch for one-and-half years and possessed a fake Indian passport, the official said.

"The ISI agent was passing on sensitive information about the Army and Army officials to Pakistan through an internet cafe in Kutch," the official said.

The official said investigations had revealed that the alleged agent was sent by the Pakistani intelligence agency to keep track of sensitive Army information and pass it on to them.

Police were keeping a watch on his movements after they were tipped off by their counterparts in Lucknow about the presence of an ISI agent in Kutch, he said, adding that sleuths are investigating his bank accounts and his possession of 10 cars.

Police in Lucknow had learnt about the presence of the ISI agent in Kutch after they arrested some other agents in the Uttar Pradesh capital, the official said.
