A 15-year-old girl has alleged that a group of policemen who had rescued her from the clutches of four men trying to molest her, later raped her.

The girl from a village near Aurangabad ran away from home and reached Aurangabad where one Shamim Abasun spotted her and handed her over to four men who took her to a bar and tried to outrage her modesty, she alleged.

She charged that the policemen who saved her from the four men then gang raped her.

After the local media reported the incident, a court asked a women's association to assist in the probe into her charges.

Accordingly, the police recorded her statement in the presence of the members of the women's association.

The girl in her statement named seven persons, including an Assistant Commissioner of Police, constable, a hotelier, a photographer and a political worker.
