The Bombay High Court, which is hearing a public interest litigation on the poor condition of roads in Mumbai and neighbouring Thane, on Wednesday constituted a five-member monitoring committee.

The committee will be headed by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Ronnie Mendonca and will receive complaints and make recommendations to the civic authorities for improving their condition.
