The Delhi [Images] high court on Friday turned down Bharti Yadav's appeal seeking a bar on the presence of Neelam Katara, the complainant in the Nitish Katara murder case, during her testimony on November 29.

The court, however, said the trial court can consider the issue if such a need arises.

Bharti Yadav, a key witness in the case, moved an application before Justice A K Sikri challenging Thursday's trial court order allowing Neelam Katara, mother of Nitish Katara, to be present during her deposition.

Additional Sessions Judge Ravinder Kaur had dismissed Bharti's application seeking a bar on the presence of Neelam on November 29.

In another application of Bharti regarding that she should not be given police protection, Justice Sikri directed the Delhi Police to maintain law and order within the Patiala court premises.

Ghaziabad SSP was also directed not to be present during the hearing.
