More bogies will be added to the Samjhauta Express following improvement in Indo-Pak relations, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad said in Amritsar [Images] on Sunday.

His Ministry would soon create an independent railway line from Ludhiana to Mumbai, Lalu, who paid obeisance at the Golden Temple complex, told reporters.

On the quota for other backward classes in higher education, he said this was necessary to improve the lot of the downtrodden.

The minister visited the Jallianwala Bagh here and paid tributes to martrys. He, along with his wife, also went to Wagah border to watch the Beating Retreat ceremony.
