Bihar CM to resign from Lok Sabha

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi will soon resign as members of Parliament in the wake of they taking oath as members of the legislative council in Bihar.

Both Nitish and Modi, who are parliamentarians from Nalanda and Bhagalpur Lok Sabha seats respectively, took oath as elected members of Bihar legislative council on Sunday.

Nitish said he would submit his resignation as a Lok Sabha member from Nalanda during his visit to New Delhi later in May. "I have to resign now as a parliamentarian� I have become a member of the legislative council to devote whole time in Bihar," the chief minister said.
