Amma embraces Mumbai

On this trip to Mumbai Amma met a legion of admirers. She had meetings with Maharashtra's chief minister, Vilasrao Deshmukh, musician Shankar Mahadevan, members of the Kapoor family and even a senior executive of the Tata group.

Director-producer Ramesh Sippy, santoor maestro Shiv Kumar Sharma, singer Shreya Goshal, Mumbai's mayor Datta Dalvi, among others, attended the discourse she gave at Shivaji Park.
