Rahul Mahajan, who was arrested on Monday for alleged drug use, will cool his heels in Tihar Jail till June 22.
No sooner did Rahul Mahajan step out of the hospital on Monday than the cops arrested him and produced him in the court on Tuesday.
They also wanted to take custody of Rahul and interrogate him for five days. The court, though, gave the police only two days.
Soon after he was lodged in judicial custody, Rahul applied for bail. But the court put off his hearing.
It was bad week not just for Rahul, but for Apollo Hospital too. The private hospital, which came under tremendous criticism after its flip-flop on whether drugs were found in Rahul’s blood sample, initially was let off by the Delhi police, who said they did not want to dilute the case. But the courts would have none of it. They directed the cops to file a case against Apollo for giving false information.
