Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva -- or simply Lula as millions of Brazilians know him -- is a charismatic, charming former trade unionist.

When the Indian government invited him to be the chief guest at Republic Day 2004, Lula and wife Marisa Leticia penciled in a darshan of the Taj on their itinerary.
