The time was 6:25 pm and I was with my family shopping in the mini market area in Sarojini Nagar. I don't live at Sarojini Nagar, but just came over here for shopping.

Since Diwali is around the corner, a lot of vendors had set up shop and the place was very crowded.

We had finished shopping finished shopping and were walking towards the place where my vehicle was parked.

Suddenly, there was a deafening noise and I could see a huge ball of smoke in the place where I was shopping just a few minutes back.

People were running helter-skelter crying out for help.

A fire soon broke out in the place where the bomb had exploded.

Soon the police and fire service men came and began rescue operations.

To think that I was exactly at the site of the blast, I really am lucky to be alive.

Sixty-one-year-old K P S Chauhan was in the scene of blast in Sarojini Nagar just minutes before the bomb went off. He spoke to Onkar Singh.
