Indian Airlines plane makes emergency landing at Delhi

An Indian Airlines plane from Chennai carrying 100 passengers and six crew members made an emergency landing at the Palam airport Tuesday night after a hydraulic failure.

The plane, IC-539, which took off from Chennai at 6:15 pm, landed at the Palam airport at 8:30 pm safely, an airport spokesman said.

"There was a hydraulic failure in the aircraft and a precautionary landing was conducted," the spokesman told UNI.

The airport authorities put fire tenders and ambulances on a standby as the aircraft made its landing.
