Raj Thackeray: The tiger cub

It began on Sunday. Shiv Sena leader Raj Thackeray resigned from the party's executive committee and as chief of the party's student wing, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Sena. He questioned Sena executive president and cousin Uddhav's leadership, while protesting his being 'sidelined' by the latter's coterie.

Addressing a meeting of supporters, Raj said he was not aiming for the presidentship, adding that it was he who had put forward Uddhav's name for the post to begin with.

For political watchers in Maharashtra and outside, Thackeray's nephew is now the man to watch.
