A First Information Report has been lodged against the nephew of Union Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. for allegedly threatening a senior Indian Administrative Services officer.

The complaint was lodged by Bihar School Examination Board chairman Subhash Sharma at Patna's Kotwali police station against Nagendra Rai for threatening him with 'dire consequences' at his official chamber on Monday evening.

He has also informed the Secretary, Department of Secondary Education, and IG (Patna zone) A C Verma about the incident

Police sources said Ray along with two "musclemen" suddenly barged into Sharma's chamber saying "CM house se aaye hein (We are chief minister's house)" and started abusing him.

Sharma told rediff.com that he will meet Rabri Devi, her Principal Secretary Muklund Prasad and Chief Secretary K A H Subramanian on Tuesday. He has also decided to lodge a complaint with the IAS Officers Association.

Rai, however, flatly denied the allegations. "I waited for nearly 20 minutes outside his chamber. I didn't make any abusive remarks to Sharma," he said.
