Rescue chopper crashes in Bihar

An army helicopter, engaged in rescue and relief work in flood-hit Darbhanga district of Bihar, crashed Thursday afternoon.

Nobody was hurt in the accident, though the chopper suffered extensive damage.

Sources in the district administration said the chopper was about to airlift students of  the Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital when it hit a tree and crashed.

The pilot, his assistant and 15 students on board all escaped unhurt, official sources said.
