The latter have been itching for revenge ever since PMK supporters reportedly ransacked some theatres in Virudhunagar, Villupuram and Ariyalur where Rajnikanth's film Baba was being screened some months back leading to heavy loss to distributors. The violence followed some adverse comments against Rajnikanth by PMK leader Dr Ramadoss reportedly when the film was released.

Some fans feel this is the right time to teach a lesson to the PMK. They have vowed to work for the defeat of its candidates in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

They have already begun the groundwork, M N Soundarapandian, an office bearer of the Tiruchi Rajnikanth Fans' association, said.

Posters claiming 'Padayappa's (a film starring Rajnikanth) padai (army) is ready to prepare paadai (thatched stretcher for bodies) for PMK' have appeared in different parts of Tiruchi, Pudukottai and surrounding areas.

Some posters have also criticised Dravida Munnetra Kazhagham president M Karunanidhi for allying with the PMK and allocating six seats to the party.

The fans are, however, willing to pardon Ramadoss if he apologises for his 'adverse comments'.
