Applications are invited for the Post Graduate Programme in Management Studies (PGPMS) for 2005-2007.
The two-year, full time programme offers specialisations in: Marketing, Finance, Human Resources Development, Information Technology and Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Applicants should hold a graduate degree with a minuimum of 50% aggregate marks from any Indian University recognised by AIU/AICTE.
Those appearing for their final year examination by April-May 2005 can also apply.
Mode of selection
The Institute will use scores based on the Common Admission Test conducted by the IIMs for their selection process. There will not be any separate written tests for admission to this course.
The CAT exams will be held on November 21, 2004, followed by Group Discussions/Personal Interviews/Written Communication Tests for shortlisted candidates.
The CAT scores are only one of the selection criteria for this programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the programme.
Mode of application
Applicants must purchase CAT bulletins from select State Bank of India branches before August 20, 2004 and submit before September 10, 2004;
The CAT exam will be held on November 21, 2004.
Candidates must also purchase the Somaiya Admission Brochure and Application Form. Please mark a demand draft worth Rs 1,000 in favour of SIMSR, payable at Mumbai.
Make sure you write your name, email address and mailing address at the back of the demand draft. Also superscribe the top of the envelope with 'Admission for PGPMS'.
Application forms can also be downloaded from http://simsr.somaiya.edu and sent by courier along with a demand draft of Rs 1,000 in favour of SIMSR, payable at Mumbai.
The forms are also available from IMS Learning Resources.
The last date to issue and send in the Somaiya Application Forms is December 15, 2004.
