, acquitted by the Delhi high court in the Parliament attack case, was released from Tihar jail on Thursday.

Afshan, wife of Shauqat Guru whose death sentence has been upheld by the court, walked out from Tihar Jail after nearly two years with a couple of relatives and friends.

Her lawyer Nitya Ramakrishnan said, "She had a difficult experience in the jail, but after her release she looks composed and dignified."

"I can see that she is alright now," Ramakrishan added.

Afshan's acquittal came along with the suspended Delhi University professor S A R Geelani by the high court on Wednesday.
