'Where's the wine?'

There was wine. There were women. There was plenty of song. Tarun Tahiliani's show was nothing short of a grand event. The guest list read like a Who's Who -- filmstars Kareena Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Simi Garewal, former cricketer Ravi Shastri, union minister for tourism Vinod Khanna's wife Kavita, Mukesh Ambani's wife Neeta, Shobhana Bhartia, Anuradha Mahindra and virtually everyone from the designer fraternity. But that was the main show.

rediff.com got an exclusive peek backstage with Tarun Tahiliani. "Where's the wine? Bring it here. If you don't get it, I'll kill you," he calls out to someone. A bearer soon appears with four tall bottles of wine flanking a solitary champagne flute. "That's for him, he's gonna need it today," says one of the backstage people.
