PW blasts police picket near Patna, jawan killed

A policeman was killed and two others critically wounded on Friday after activists of the banned Peoples War group of Naxalites blasted a police picket in Patna district, a top police official said in Patna.

Inspector General of Police (Patna zone) A C Verma said the heavily armed extremists attacked the police picket at Wara village in the wee hours and blew it up using explosives.

The ultras looted some fire arms and ammunition before fleeing.
