Hindu fundamentalists brandishing weapons demanded that the area surrounding the historic Qutub Minar in Delhi be handed over to them to construct a temple, on February 19. They claimed that the Qwatul-islam mosque was built on the ruins of 27 Hindu and Jain temples.
