Tell us your dreams for India

'I want to live in a country which is educated'

I joined the madarsa after completing my graduation. My father who is a doctor of Unani medicine, persuaded me to get a religious education. I am studying in class III or 'arja som in Madrasa Aliya in Delhi's Chandni Chowk.

I studied Political Science, Arabic, English and Urdu in graduation. I think all madarsa students should get an opportunity to receive mainstream education and join leading universities of the country and abroad.

I am fascinated with India's history. We have great heroes and magnificent monuments. But I think India needs a lot of money. To remove poverty, we need money.

I want to do something that makes the country proud of me. Perhaps become an outstanding teacher. I am trying to do my Masters and a B Ed along with religious education. I want to live in a country which is educated and developed, where every child can go to school and get quality education

I like our diversity -- where people of all faiths and religion live together. There is no such place in the world like India.

One day I want to lead a respectable life and earn some money to give a decent life to my parents.

As told to Ehtasham Khan
