'I Support the Tigress of Chennai'

Date: Tue, 3 Sep 2002 13:41:06 +0530
Subject: Jayalalithaa Being Blackmailed by BJP: Ashok Gehlot

Mr. Gehlot should accept the fact as broadcasted by Ms. Jayalaitha and should look for alternative leader an Indian in Congress party it self . This is the prestige issue of every Indian. Why grumbling against BJP?

Subject: Jayalalithaa Being Blackmailed by BJP: Ashok Gehlot

"In Indian democracy it is the people of the country who decide as to who would be the next prime minister. The Congress does not need any certificate from Jayalalithaa or from anybody else," he said. Mr. Ashok Gehlot should read his own statement given above once more in detail. "In Indian democracy it is the people of the country who decide as to who would be the next prime minister." and not his Congress Party or he himself. Our country is not bankrupt to import a Foreign Prime Ministerial Candidate? Yes congress certainly needs a certificate of 100 crore people of this great nation to import a foreign individual as the pm candidate. Can we have a referendum on this one important issue? is congress is prepared for this? congress now is on the verge of collapse and they are trying to catch on the last staw mrs.antanio maino of italy to rescue them. shameless party made up of shameless enuchs they are.

I support the Tigress of Chennai, who has removed the mask of mrs Antonio Maino and congress. Congress is a party of sycophants and vote bank politics. If she would dare to become the prime minister, i would call on the army to take over this nation and save us from such a calamity

Perhaps Congress party has blackmailed him to make this statement. Let him take care of his State instead of talking nonsense. According to him there are no Cogressmen who are involved in corruption charges. Congressmen after the sad demise of Lal Bahadur Shastri and during the regime of late Indira Gandhi minted money. Why the Congress men and other parties are not declaring the assets etc. as directed by S.C. As true citizens they are bound to do it. In the case of Sonia Ghelot says ,Court has already decided. The same SC has directed all politicians to declare their assets, involvement in criminal cases etc.etc. and this perhaps is not applicable to Ghelot and his partymen. It is better to keep his mouth shut. We got freedom Britishers and now Congress wants an Italian born lady to sit on the table and keep her legs on the chair to crush Indians. If the Congress has accepted Sonia as their Goddess a)Kali,Saraswathi, Lakshmi, Durga etc.etc. let them accept and not press the public to accept her as India's leader. It is a shame on the part of Congress to project Sonia as PM. Rubbish and nonsense.

I share the same view for her sudden abouturn and outburst. This is for garnering the sympathies of BJP and getting off the hook of corruption cases.

I am quite surprised by the expressions of Ms. Jayalalitha. I dont know what she think she is. In fact I believe she is not even having any right to raise this issue. She is not a native of Tamil Nadu and not even a Tamil by any means, even then she is the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Then what is the big point she is making ? Next if we are thinking about the values and morality of life, Ms. Jayalalitha is no way near Sonia. Even if she is born in Italy, she is the "legal wife" of late Mr. Rajiv. She is the daughter-in-law of Indira. There is nothing wrong with the nationality, If she can be the wife of an Indian and give birth to two indians she can be prime minister of India too. When yearly thousands are starving to death in this country, Ms. Jayalalitha is still in search of new types of luxuries, then what is her business with nationality ? If the life is gone out of control, its not others sin, she has to find out ways to console the self.

It is indeed disgusting to see the way a Chief Minister is wasting her time in unimportant issues like the foriegn origin of the Congress President, especially when her State is enduring a severe crisises on fronts like - Water for Irrigation and Elusive Smugglers. What is origin in the face of morality? The lady in the CM's seat is notorious for her illegitimate affairs with money and men. What an example she must be for our State. Does she in the first place deserve to hold any office in our great country - let alone talk?

We Tamilians knows how she was how she is come to politics and she is not any qualified to talk about anybody. First of all every body knows inclusive of advani & party how she behaved in the past. I dont want to continue my fingers refuse to type her name. For corruption no other lady will equal her .

In a mature democracy the political campaign should be around policies, issues, track-record and fitness of candidates to address those issues satisfactorily, not around parentage of candidates. Ca we not say that likes of Mother Teresa, Annie Besant, C. F. Andrews were better Indians than say wealthy non-resident Indian whose only connection with India may be Indian parents, but is otherwise wholly foreign. It is best left to electorate to decide on this and opponents of a candidate with foreign parents are certainly free to bring this issue before electorate to seek their verdict, rather than for an arbitrary law to decide who best represents electorate.

It will be considered a moral and intellectual bankruptcy to elect a foreigner like this lady as India's Prime Minister or similar important post. Why doesn't somebody publish her life story, her work and education history. I know many people are in 'Love' with Nehru Family. Does that mean they will accept any pet if it is from that family? What happens if country goes to war? Will she take her brood and go seek asylum in safe Italian embassy or go to Italy? Indians all over the world remember the song "Mera Juta Hai Japani ---- Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani" What does this lady and her kids sing? "Mera Dil Hai Italiani" ? Come on Congress party, thousands and thousands of Indians have given their lives to get the foreigners out of India and now you want to mortgage the whole country of over a billion people to a so called "Legal" Indian? One can get Indian passport and become Indian Citizen on legal paper. That won't make any body a natural born Indian. If Congress party claims to represent Indian People, let them elect a natural born Indian to assume all the sensitive posts in Central Government.

None of the great countries in the world allow a foreigner to be the head of state. It is an insult, and not the generosity, to the indigenous people to allow a foreigner to be the President or the Prime Minister of their country. Mother Teresa might have contributed much more than many Prime Ministers of India, but it doesn't mean India should accept somebody like her to be the Prime Minister. A long foreign rule has made Indian gutless! It is time they specifically add to constitution a requirement of a India born citizen to be a head of state and put controversy to rest. This will save the nation a lot of agony and an incredible waste of time.

Sonia Gandhi has given the best part of her life serving India and adopting with whole heart and mind India as her motherland. These corrupt Indian politicians are worse. They are not at all patriotic at all. Just being born in India, they do not become better human beings, if their deeds contradict them. They should feel ashamed for their ugly behavior, calling Sonia Gandhi a foreigner. These are the phony people who are the cause of all the problems going on in our beloved country.

Subject: RSS accuses Farooq of sedition

This is outrageous and the remarks made by Chief Minister of a State of India ( Farooq Abdullah) are not called for. And, the acceptance of his remarks would be more a cowardness on part of the government. If the congress is powerless to act and form a legislation then President should be given some powers to act independently if some of the political leaders are inept to act for some reasons of their own. Farooq should be asked for, is he an Indian first or a Chief Minister. Every person born in Indian is an Indian first and a Hindu, Sikh or Muslim later and until and unless this concept is well digested by the political leaders, the mark can not be made on general public. In my opinion, Sheikh should be put into jail as he is making remarks which can be used later by some parties or organization as legal if no action is taken promptly. I hope some one in the administration would have guts to act, same way like Jaya Lalita did against Sonia Gandhi against her Prime Ministership admirations. I don't know much the background of her other actions in her political career but her remarks against Sonia would definitely be welcomed by many as bold remarks. I pray that someone would have ears to listen and act against Farooq's remarks.

That was good gesture in midst of all the religious intolerance Mother India is facing. I think it is a good idea for leaders to visit religious places to promote religious tolerance and peace.

It is a bullshit. A True Muslim can never visit and offer prayers. If does so he is not a Muslim and I am sure he will get the due punishment for God for doing such an act. I strongly object to this kind of political stunt. These politicians have no religion and no faith. He is black scar for Muslim community, how can he lead the state? I don't have any right to say that Hindus going to temple offering prayers. But it is ridiculous s to even imagine this man going and offering prayers at Thirupathi. Could you please give any kind of contact of Mr. Abduallah so that I can write to him the meaning of Muslim.

Subject: J&K election a fraud on the people: Panun Kashmir

I hold a very strong view that the constitution of India be changed to give mobility rights to other Indians to settle in Kashmir as Kashmiris have settled in other parts of India. Unless this is done this problem will be on going. One has to take a strong courage to do this no doubt lives will be lost but lives were lost in partition and lives were also lost during Amercian Civil War which was an exercise in nation building.

Subject: Bofors Violated Palme's Promise to Rajiv: CBI

I am aghast at the way the BJP has behaved in the bofors scam. During elections they castigated the congress regime on Bofors, there was vajpayee and jethmalani amongst others promising urgent action on the investigation. They all sound so hollow now. in fact our present politicians are as corrupt as the ones before and do not have the political will to close the issue out. it is similar with the fodder scam in bihar as well. After another 10 years of this present government, I am sure we will hear that the case is dropped for lack of sufficient evidence and the considerable time that has passed. I think the game is to fool as many people all the time with oratory and fiery speeches every time bofors can be made use of to further their own interests with the silent public. Of course the media which I believe is the guardian of conscience in many ways has also played along and allowed matters to be forgotten. So the honest simple rural public of India will continue to be fooled and continue to suffer let down by the urban elite and the so called intelligentsia which has only proved to be as selfish as the politicians.
