Militants kill two NC activists, injure another

Stepping up attacks on political activists ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly poll, militants killed two ruling National Conference workers and injured another in separate attacks on Monday, official sources said.

In the first incident, militants abducted and later killed a NC activist, Haji Ghulam Hassan Bhat, in Bandipora area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir. His beheaded body was recovered on Monday.

In the other incident, militants, who forcibly entered his house, shot NC activist Ali Mohammad Dar of Botingoo in Anantnag district dead. Another NC activist Habibullah Gojri was shot and injured critically at Badamibagh area of Sopore in Baramulla district on Monday morning.
