Terrorists kill 22 people in Assam

At least 22 people were killed and several injured when National Democratic Front of Bodoland terrorists raided a village on the Indo-Bhutan international border in Assam's Kokrajhar district on Sunday morning.

A police official said in Guwahati that the terrorists opened fire on people sleeping in their houses in Dadgiri village under Basugaon police station area.

The victims were from Bihar and Nepal. The NDFB has camps in Bhutan and is active in the area.

Meanwhile, four policemen were injured, two of them seriously, when a bomb under a bridge exploded, the official said.

The injured were from the Basugaon police station. They were going to Dadgiri to investigate the massacre.
