Shivani's husband identifies her gold chain

The gold chain of slain journalist Shivani Bhatnagar, allegedly stolen on the day of the murder and recovered from one of the key accused, Ved Prakash, was on Wednesday identified by her husband.

In a test identification parade held before a Delhi court, Shivani's husband Rakesh Bhatnagar identified the chain.

Police had on Tuesday moved an application for identifying the chain, which was allegedly snatched away from Shivani on the day of the murder and later passed on to another accused Sri Bhagwan. Bhagwan later passed it on to Ved Prakash Sharma.

The identification of the chain is significant because it is the first recovery in the case with which the police hope to establish one of the crucial links in the alleged murder.
