TN to file second contempt petition

The Tamil Nadu government has decided to file a second contempt petition before the Supreme court for 'disobedience' of Friday's order by the Karnataka government.

In a statement on Saturday night, Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa also said that a suit would soon be filed against the Karnataka government, claiming damages for kuruvai (short term paddy) crop lost due to its 'recalcitrance'.
