Badal Man Elected SGPC Chief

Kirpal Singh Badungar, a Badal loyalist, was relected Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee president, defeating his only rival Sant Veer Singh of the Tohra faction by a margin of 23 votes.

Badungar polled 91 votes as gainst 68 secured by Sant Veer Singh.

Out of the 176 voters one Bhagat Singh was absent.
