Made Gowda, Congress MLA secure bail

Sadananda R in Chamarajnagar

Cauvery River Protection Committee president and former MP G Made Gowda was on Saturday released on bail.

He had been arrested on October 30 for violating prohibitory orders in Mandya and remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.

Gowda secured bail as the government pleader did not oppose his plea.

Congress MLA M H Atamananda and a Member of the Legislative Council Siddaraju, arrested along with Gowda, were also granted bail.
