Nine injured in grenade attack in J&K

Nine people, including three CRPF personnel, were injured on Saturday in a grenade attack by militants at the main market in Shopian in Pulwama district, a police spokesman said in Srinagar.

Several vehicles were damaged in the attack, which was targetted at a passing security patrol, the spokesman said.

Militants lobbed the grenade in the busy area when CRPF personnel were returning to their camp.

The grenade missed the intended target and exploded wounding six pedestrians and three CRPF jawans.
