Two persons were stabbed to death in Baroda and an equal number were killed in police firing as communal violence erupted afresh in parts of Gujarat on Sunday.

Police opened fire and burst several teargas shells to disperse a violent mob in Danilimda police station area of the walled city of Ahmedabad.

Curfew has been imposed in the area.

The situation in other city areas was peaceful and curfew would be relaxed in five police station areas of Madhavpura, Dariapur, Kalupur, Karanj and Shahpur for 12 hours from 7 am on Monday.
