Pious Offering

Nepal King Gyanendra and his wife offer clothes to the Shankaracharya of Kanchi Jayendra Saraswati after prayers at the Kamakshi Temple in New Delhi on Wednesday, June 26, 2002. Undeterred by protests from animal rights activists, the monarch also performed animal sacrifices at Kamakhya temple in Guwahati and the Kalighat temple in Kolkata.
