VHP central committee meeting begins

The central committee meeting of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad began amidst tight security in Ranchi on Saturday morning with the Ram temple and Jammu and Kashmir being on top of the agenda.

The VHP's central committee secretary and spokesman Vireshwar Dwivedi said that the resolutions passed on June 22-23 at Haridwar would be adopted with some modifications and redrafting.

"Among other resolutions, those on construction of the Ram temple, division of Jammu and Kashmir into four Union territories and steps against terrorism, would be passed in the meeting," Dwivedi told PTI.

Ashok Singhal, Praveen Togadia and Acharya Giriraj Kishore are among those attending the meeting at the Rani Sati temple.
