22 in fray for Jammu LS seat

Fifteen candidates entered the fray for the Jammu Lok Sabha constituency on the last day of filing nominations on Wednesday, an official spokesman said in Jammu.

With this, a total of 22 candidates have filed their papers for the by-poll slated for February 21, he said.

Prominent among those in the fray are Chowdhary Talib Hussain (National Conference), Dr Nirmal Kumar Singh (BJP) and Madan Lal Sharma (Congress).

The scrutiny of the nominations will take place on Thursday.

The Jammu parliamentary constituency comprises three districts of Rajouri, Poonch and Jammu.
