PM convenes all-party meeting on Ayodhya issue

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has convened an all-party meeting on Tuesday to discuss the Ayodhya issue.

Leaders of major political parties, including Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, RJD leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, CPI-M leader Somnath Chatterjee and BSP vice president Mayawati have been invited for the meeting, official sources said on Monday.

The meeting has been convened in the backdrop of the VHP's threat to start the process of temple construction from March 15 at Ayodhya.
