Rajnath Singh injured in road accident

Bharatiya Janata Party general secretary Rajnath Singh was injured in a road accident at Himmat Nagar near Ahmedabad on Sunday evening.

The car of Singh, who was canvassing in the area, met with an accident that left him and three others injured.

They have been admitted to the Ahmedabad civil hospital, where doctors attending on Singh said his condition was stable.

Party sources added that Singh's driver, security personnel and a journalist were injured in the accident.

While the condition of the driver and security personnel was stated to be critical, the condition of the journalist was said to be out of danger, the sources said.

Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani also spoke to the doctors and enquired about the condition of Singh, the sources said.
