'Fingerprint All Foreigners!'

Date: Wed, 14 Aug 2002 14:07:59 -0700
Subject: New Entry-Exit System for Visitors to the US

I am in entire agreement with what the United States proposes to do beginning 11 September 2002. I would rather say, they should finger-print ALL the foreigners instead of selectively doing so. Those who feel touchy about it, let them not visit the US or any other country which would like to secure the lives of its people and property.

Subject: Laden, Omar Could Be Dead: Musharraf

Why is Mushy so worried about the death of Omar & Bin Laden. We can draw inference that both the persons are staying in Mushy's residence.

Subject: Laden, Omar Could Be Dead: Musharraf

Poor "Busharraf", Nobody believes a word he says. He could well be telling the truth. When he says that Osama did not do it (Sept 11), everyone said Busharraf wanted to divert American anger away from Osama. When he says Osama and Omar are dead everyone says he wants America to stop the war on terror. When he says Osama is alive they say he wants to divert attention from the Taliban. There is nothing that old Bushy says which does not attract derision. And it is his own people who say all this. Not the most enviable position for a head of state to be in. Even if he merely breathes people in Pakistan will say he is probably pretending!

Subject: 'Cloud' affecting weather patterns over Indian subcontinent

It is strange may be true. But you cannot attribute this entirely to Asia or India. The very reason for such cloud formation could be the huge forest fires in south east Asia and America which caused smog as forests burned for several weeks. Then there is another factor which is overlooked. There are couple of volcano's became active and started spewing fire and dust. This type of dust particularly ash from this process, carbon particles from burning of forests ,automobile pollutions etc could have led to this cloud formation. Also we must realise Nature will retaliate for the harms caused to keep the balance in check.

The Indian Meteorological department is tight lipped on this phenomenon, the reason is because 1. They are indifferent to this development 2. They probably do not even comprehend what scientists are talking about fearing of adverse comments from the world community.

Subject: 'Cloud' affecting weather patterns over Indian subcontinent

If you just walk thru the roads of Secunderabad / Chennai / Calcutta, just for half an hour and look back at your shirts you can find a black layer of soot. This may be a reason for people to look brighter when they comeback from Western countries. This is the reality we are facing every day and the news of the 3km brown cover is not at all a surprise to me. The responsibility now falls on the whole nation to stop this ever increasing pollution in the Country. Something drastic like the one happened in Delhi where they are converting to gas engines have to be done in the other metros or else we will have to face the hell. This end is very very likely to happen.

Are our airline pilots blind or did they fail to see the said cloud. Also were the ISRO instruments also unable to detect the said cloud until someone else decided to talk about it openly? What does our Scientist President have to say about this?

Subject: I Felt Helpless During Riots: Narayanan

I would also like to know how he felt when more than 3000 Sikhs were slaughtered in Delhi in 1984. We all know what Rajiv Gandhi said about those riots (When a big tree falls...). Yet this did not bother Mr. Narayanan. If it did, he would not have taken the union minister's position in Rajiv's cabinet. I don't remember him ever talking about how he felt about those incidents. I guess it was justified then because this was the family (Nehru-Gandhi Dynasty) to which he owed he career. I am not saying this to belittle the suffering that Gujarati Muslims had to undergo during the recent riots. I am saying this because, I don't believe Narayanan is sincere. I think I know the reason why he felt helpless. He knew that he needed BJP votes if he was re-nominated to the Presidency. So he could'nt annoy the ruling party.

We now have a new President. As can be seen, Dr. Kalam does not feel helpless. It is also clear that Dr. Kalam is not insincere. If he was, he would have never made this trip to Gujarat and annoy the party that nominated him to the Presidency.

Subject: I Felt Helpless During Riots: Narayanan

If the head of the three armed forces felt helpless, then what chance does a common citizen have? A post such as president is for do'ers not to those who are willing to weep, and do nothing I wish India has presidents and prime ministers and other ministers who are young and have the drive to do something in life instead of old dumb idiots......

Subject: I Felt Helpless During Riots: Narayanan

I just want to ask Mr. Former president K R Narayanan, if he felt helpless why he did not resign from the post, or why he did not say anything at that time. Now Mr. K R Narayanan is not in that post why he is trying to destabilize the govt. with his opinion. In my opinion, if he could not do when he was the president and he could have done so, I do not understand what is trying to do now with these comments.

These sentiments are the same as jailbirds express. Most jailbirds bid their time in silence, but a few do break the rank and speak out. Mr. Narayanan just bid his time. He, by not voicing his concerns, acted as the tail-end coward of the Team "President Cowards". In the process, he also betrayed the public's confidence in the office of the President. The nation would hardly miss you, Mr. Narayanan.

Subject: Varsha Bhosle: Towards Balkanisation

I think the concept of India will outlast our leftists, your so called pinkos and also your tribe of hindutvavadis. It is agreed that the essence of this country's existance and thought has been the hindu philosophy, which the Islamists or the British or even the modern day church padharis can never destroy. Your so called hindutavavadis can do some real social service like building schools, hospitals and orphanages in tribal and backward areas, for which there would be tremendous support, rather than build temples in ayodhya, destroy churches and organize progoms in gujarat. Please remember if the CPI, Muslim league etc. is guilty of communal politics in pre-partitioned India, so were the Hindutva parties, who supported the British. Your great mentors like Vajpayee and co have to whitewash their CR to show that they went to jail during the freedom struggle, when in realty they were licking the British boots and stoking the communal fires. Therefore the present day rulers BJP & co (like the CPM reds) have no right to flaunt their nationalism, when they have none.

I saw a poster put up by the great protector of Hindus, the army of Shiva in Amchi Mumbai, wherein they have invited all patriotic Indians to join the Independence Day rally on 14th midnight. There can be no better joke than the Shiv Sena goons celebrating > independence day. Long live your ilk and their rotten ideology. Please do not write nonsense on the patriotism and nationalism of ordinary Indians, when your ilk and the left are just out to destroy the same. Publish this letter in rediff as a rejoinder, if you have the guts.

Subject: Shivani Murder Case: R K Sharma's Bail Rejected

Delhi Police Cops don't seem to be using their brains. On the one hand they say Sharma had been co-operating all along until his disappearance. If they want to interrogate him further why do they intend to do that only under arrest. This Drama can be ended if they do not oppose anticipatory bail. Sharma is likely to appear faster than they can even imagine. The guy seems to be averse to interrogation under Police Custody. If the objective is only interrogation and not pre-trial humiliation of this suspect, bail should not be opposed. The Court, in any case, is going to impose a number of conditions while granting Anticipatory Bail to the suspect in accordance with the relevant legal provisions. Since the objective of Delhi Police seems to be to keep the issue alive for sometime as against this suspect we are going to see little more drama in the days to come. Such scenario develops when concerned persons have just one track mind. Old habits die hard especially when one is exercising Authority. Result: Justice becomes the Casualty. Haven't we seen that in infamous 'Tehelka' Case?
