Orissa food and civil supply
minister injured in accident

Orissa Food and Civil Supply Minister Bed Prakash Agrawal sustained injuries on Sunday night when his car collided with an Andhra Pradesh-bound truck near Chatia, 30 km from Cuttack, a senior police officer said.

While Agrawal sustained fracture on his right leg, his personal security officer and driver too were injured in the mishap.

The minister and his staff were immediately taken to Sri Ram Chandra Bhanja Medical College Hospital at Cuttack.

"All of them are safe and recovering," Director General of Police N C Padhi said. The incident took place at about 9.15 pm on Sunday night, he said.
