VHP stormed temple at behest of CM: Kalyan

Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Rashtriya Kranti Party president Kalyan Singh On Tuesday alleged that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders entered the prohibited area of the makeshift Ram temple at Ayodhya at the instance of Chief Minister Rajnath Singh.

Claiming that Rajnath Singh was also present in Ayodhya on that day, Kalyan Singh told newspersons that the Bharatiya Janata Party was raking up the Ayodhya issue to "derive political mileage" ahead of the coming assembly polls in the state.

Terming the resignation of almost the entire opposition MLAs from the state assembly as "unprecedented", the RKP leader said the chief minister must resign on moral grounds.

He challenged Rajnath Singh to hold early elections in the state and claimed the ruling BJP was certain to bite the dust at the elections.
