The MLAs explained to Paswan the prevailing political situation in the state after the defeat of Samata Party-led Radhabinod Koijam government and urged him to impress upon the top leaders of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) the need to remove the political vacuum at the earliest by installation of the R K Dorendra Singh-led PDA government.
PDA's meeting with Paswan comes as part of the efforts of the 41 MLAs to muster support of NDA constituents for formation of an alternative government.
The meeting came a day after they held a series of discussions with BJP leaders Pyarelal Khandelwal, Madan Lal Khurana and Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Arun Jaitley and Bijoya Chakraborty and Janata Dal (United) chief and Union minister Sharad Yadav.
The 41 MLAs, who have been camping in Delhi for the past two days, said they would also like to meet Shiv Sena leader and Union minister Manohar Joshi and Telugu Desam Party leader Yerran Naidu.
